Client Spotlight: PIUS Wines
Updated: Oct 7
Bodi Botanica traveled to Paso Robles to create a scent bar for La Nuit Clémentine, a stunning evening hosted by PIUS Wines overlooking the vineyards.

I was invited to create a custom fragrance experience inspired by the event and the wines of winemaker Anthony Versochi. Rather than bringing a traditional perfume workshop, I developed a collection of custom accords specifically for the evening, giving guests a curated palette of scents they could use to create their own personal fragrance.
The setting could not have been more perfect. Golden hills, rows of vines stretching into the distance, beautiful food, incredible wine, and a patio full of people ready to explore scent in a completely new way.
And they did.
At one point, there was a line around the corner for the scent bar. Guests lingered over the accords, smelled combinations on blotters, compared ideas with one another, and ultimately created fragrances that were completely their own. Some were bright and citrusy, others earthy, floral, green, salty, or deeply aromatic. I was amazed by what people made.
There is something especially magical about bringing wine and fragrance together. Both ask us to slow down and pay attention. We talk about wine through aroma constantly: fruit, flowers, herbs, earth, woods, minerals, spice. Perfume uses many of those same references, but gives us another way to explore and interpret them.
And the wines themselves were wonderful. The rosé in particular was a revelation, fresh and complex and one of those wines that immediately makes you want another glass.
What I loved most about La Nuit Clémentine was that the fragrance experience became part of the evening rather than something separate from it. Guests were able to move between tasting wine and smelling perfume, finding connections between flavor, aroma, place, and memory.
I left Paso Robles feeling incredibly inspired.
Creating custom scent experiences for wineries feels like such a natural extension of what I do at Bodi Botanica. A vineyard already has its own sensory language: the landscape, the soil, the plants, the cellar, the wine itself. Translating some of that world into fragrance opens up an entirely new way for guests to experience a place.

Thank you to PIUS Wines, Anthony Versochi, Christina Mace, and the entire La Nuit Clémentine team for inviting me into your world. It was such a beautiful experience, and I hope it is the first of many collaborations between Bodi Botanica and the world of wine.
